No, not your run-of-the-mill Islamo-Fascist cells, mind you. I'm referring to the Marxist-Stalinist cells that have been quietly simmering for the last few decades, who have been climbing out from under their collective rocks since the groundswell hatred for the Bush administration has reached its fever pitch in recent months.

Any doubts about the doctrine that is so closely held by the Hillary Clintons, John Edwards', Barack Obamas, etc. have been summarily dismissed with the latest media feeding frenzy in this primary season.

The most pathetic element of the New Socialist Movement (Democrat Party) Progressives is that they make the same mistakes that all other quasi socialist organizations make in their hollow quest for power...overzealous and shrill overtures to their sheep-like followers, screeching about "the children", "women's right to choose", "social security", "senior citizens" and "the greater good", peppered with a large dose of anti-conservative and anti-military ravings, and the obligatory pandering to "minority groups" such as Gays, Lesbians, Bi-Sexual, Transgender...(you'd think that splitting hairs with all of these variations of sexual identity issues would best be served by identifying them as one special interest group....The Pand-Sexuals).

Note that when it gets hot in the kitchen, the New Socialist Democrat Progressives make no bones about eating their own if it gets them ahead of the game. Case in Point: When the shrill and antipathetic chorus of the neo-Stalinist Democrat leadership found their opportunity to run with the Foley football last fall, I opined that we would be treated to volley of righteous indignation and incredulous sanctimony...but I was only partially correct.

What we got to witness was a phenomenon that eclipsed the prognostications of your Humble Narrator...the actual positioning of an entire left wing Voting bloc as undesirables, predators, and pedophiles. The entire gay male population had been reduced to back room sexual deviants who are the vilest of the vile. And only in the supercharged partisan environment in which we live could we experience the deafening silence of the so-called Gay And Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), a group which usually leaves toothmarks in the spotlight if there is ever a national issue in which Gay sexuality is front and center.

Where were the pundits and the ACLU, as these advocacy groups and other shallow fronts of liberalism departed their usual haunts of social commentary. It reminds me of the conspicuous absence of the National Organization of Women and the usual militant feminist groups back in the 90's when Juanita Broderick, Kathleen Willey and scores of others were trashed by the Impeached Bill Clinton Democrat propoganda machine, when standing up to be counted wasn't a politically expedient exercise.

You might also be scratching your head at the current news media portrayal of the bogus SCHIP legislative veto flap this past week. While President Bush advocated a roughly USD $1bn INCREASE in the funding for this valuable program for each of the next 5 years, the lefty socialists insisted in presenting a bill with an increase in the current funding of over 700% of the proposed amount. To put this in perspective, imagine if your mortgage, auto, and basic living expenses were raised not 15 or 20% (which in itself would be unacceptable), but 700%. The reality of this veto was twofold, as the proposed legislation would extend government health benefits to those who the program was not meant for...namely, families earning incomes in excess of $42,000 per annum. This program was designed so that the poorest of children could enjoy coverage even if their family's employers didn't provide some sort of health benefit. The ginned up Democrat version guaranteed a veto and will provide ample fodder for upcoming campaign ads portraying Republicans as evil child-haters.

The Democrat version of the bill would extend the benefits to not only families with incomes up to $80,000 or more, but to persons up to 25 years old and children of illegal aliens. It is also a first step to nationalizing the health care system (as you may have noticed, the health system in Venezuela, along with Private Education, in addition to the Banking and Petroleum industries, have been nationalized by the nutty Hugo Chavez regime, the same despotic kook endorsed by collective piles of human excrement Danny Glover, Kevin Spacey, Cindy Sheehan and Sean Penn ).

These turds on the left have a long history of providing aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States. How about John Kerry's visit to Daniel Ortega back during the Reagan years, to undermine the process of assisting the Contras in their effort resist the communist incursion in Nicaragua back in the day. Then, as now, the socialist dupes in our own Congress, such as Kerry, simply act like it never happened, and live to fight (the U.S.A.) another day. Can you imagine FDR allowing someone like Kerry to commiserate with Tojo or Joseph Goebbels during wartime, and then try to peddle it as "rebuilding our image in the rest of the world".

When dimwits Nancy Pelosi and Dennis Kucinich pandered to Syria's Bashar Assad , a State Sponsor of Terrorism, there was hardly a blink from our national press corps, which focused instead on time honored Stalinist media manipulation & smokescreen technique, such as the Phony Soldiers flap this past couple of weeks leveled at the Talk Radio community in general, and Rush Limbaugh in particular.

When Josef Stalin sensed any dissent in the ranks of the masses, he simply cut them off...their heads, that is. In 2007 Washington, D.C., phony socialist front groups like Media Matters and MoveOn.org carry the water for the shameless cowards in the Democrat House & Senate Chambers, hoping to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine and cut off many of the voices that champion the true American dream of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Sound familiar, Mssrs, Clinton, Edwards, Obama, etc?

Amazingly, the dozing Liberal masses don't hear the approaching hoofbeats. They just pull their heads momentarily out of the sand and look around, like baby sea turtles to see which way their equally uninformed colleagues are moving, and march in Jack-Booted Lockstep with the Pelosi's, the Durbin's and the Rieds...(Yes that's Jack-Booted, as in 1930's Nazi Stormtroopers). The ones who raise any objection are thrown under the bus (such as Joe Lieberman, who is no longer under any obligation to lump himself in with the loonies on the left, although he caucuses with the Democrats to maintain his committee positions.)

History shows us that socialist initiatves always fail, usually with their prime beneficiaries swinging from town squares on National Holidays (Romania's Ceausescu comes to mind, along with Italy's Mussolini)

So will this one...and while there are those who would like to see our current crop of purveyors of misinformation and propaganda swing with their predecessors, I prefer to see buffoons like the Clintons and Obamas take it in the shorts after they've blown their millions on the campaign trail, traveling like royalty on the nickel and thinking that it's all about them...then skulking back to their cush gigs in the Senate and in the private sector, relegated to the ash heap of history, where they belong.

Hillary Clinton - Disingenuous, Dangerous..and just plain Doofy

Got to hand it to the annoying John McCain,(R)AZ for dropping the posturing for a moment to call Ms. Clinton on the carpet for her patently ridiculous statements about the issues surrounding the North Korean nuclear test this past weekend. For those of you who missed it, Ms. Clinton, in her never ending exercise in historical revision, joined in the "Blame Game" chorus in bashing the Bush Administration's policies for Sunday's North Korean Nuke Test.

What this blithering idiot Hillary Clinton doesn't mention is that her cigar and intern favoring husband and his inept Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, along with the equally impotent Jimmy Carter, handed the regime of North Korea not only a roadmap, but the reactors and the capital to produce the deadly weapons, in another of many sophomoric attempts at appeasement with kook dictators in the name of "Diplomacy".

Each time I see the picture of Albright toasting the deal with Champagne in crystal glasses, I marvel that this buffoon Albright could have ever been seriously considered for a position of this importance in our system. But then I remember the rest of the cast of Clinton's Characters, including Sandy Berger, who purloined sensitive documents in an attempt to whitewater (er...whitewash) events leading to their disastrous record of non-action in the arena of national security, and awarding us with a legacy of cover ups, fabrications, and outright negligence that many attribute to the growth of Islamic Facism that we are dealing with today, courtesy of the Clinton Presidency.

Did Clinton have pictures of these people with goats, or were they somehow simply drawn in to some Goober Pyle-esque cult of personality?...Perhaps a trip to the mobile-home shaped Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock will shed some light on the subject.

Back to the disaster-in-waiting that is Hillary.

Some of the Hillary Clinton accomplishments I remember best from the 90's include the travel office fiasco, the Hillarycare debacle, and perhaps, most memorable, the "Tammy Wynette Standing By My Man" comments on 60 minutes. I believe that Ms. Clinton's attempt to re-write her husband's sorry legacy is another self-serving attempt on her part to ride those imaginary coattails to glory in the '08 or '12 Presidential race.

Ms. Clinton...you would be well advised to try to learn how to serve your constituency in New York with effective policy and a long view on providing New Yorkers with focused advocacy of their issues. Your miserable track record as a co-President may have gotten you in the door in Albany, but that's where your viablity on the national stage begins and ends. You have no idea what negative turnout really is...but here's to hoping, Hillary.

Down On The Pelosi Plantation

Nutty Nancy Pelosi (D)CA, the House Minority Leader, can't catch a break...what with Mark Foley (R)FL, resigning his congressional seat in disgrace a couple of days back in an email imbroglio with an underage congressional page. Normally, this type of thing would send the daffy dame and her band of harebrained harbingers of hackdom in the media running for the nearest podium to hold press conferences bashing Mr. Bush.

This time, however, I predict that we will be treated to the usual nonsese by proxies of Ms. Pelosi, given the sordid history of the openly gay Barney Frank, (D)Mass.

Mr. Frank, you see, had his home raided by the fuzz on charges of gay prostitution..and in fact, one of Mr. Frank's young paramours was using the D.C. residence to conduct all manners of unseemly activities.

This, of course, got a pass, but don't think for a minute that just because Barney got off the hook, will the party of progressive thought and alternate lifestyles let this go, even though the rumors of the sexuality of Mr. Foley has long been fodder for the gossip mongerning leftites who have been looking for any opportunity to pounce on the GOP for any infraction of the GOP conservative agenda, real or imagined.

On a side note, Barney Frank has participated in Gay Pride events down here in Palm Beach County, presumably because they are somehow relavent to his bringing home the bacon to his Massachusetts constituency....or did he just use his congressional position to lend credence to the Rainbow set, and have a taxpayer funded junket to South Florida, where he gets to mingle with other gay singles on the taxpayer nickel.

Mr. Foley immediately resigned his post, after the revelation of the emails, as he should have, rather than letting the situation get worse in the weeks leading up to the mid-term elections. His career if ruins, and his legacy permanently scarred, Mr. Foley is finished. God bless him and his family, and hope he can put the pieces of his life back together and deal with his personal issues. After all, his personal life is, and should be personal. Right, Ms. Pelosi?

I thought not.

By Monday there will be cries of indignation, demanding congressional hearings on the genealogy of Mr. Foley's infraction, including reports that the emails were reported to GOP leadership a year or two ago..We will see those members of the minority who are less prominent leading the call for a gutting of the corrupt house leadership, along with the MoveOn's, the Bill Maher's , and the Rev. Al Sharpton's demanding satisfaction, providing cover for Howard Dean, Pelosi, etc. who have to try to appear tolerant of the Foley peccadilloes.

While we're digging into the immediate and past actions of Mr Foley, let's keep tabs on how the media spotlight revisits (or conveniently doesn't revisit) ethical and personal lapses of Mr. Frank, along with William Jefferson, (D) Lousiana, who was recently caught with $90,000 in cold cash (literally) in his refrigerator. Ms. Pelosi & the higher ups on the left hand side of the aisle would be wise not to turn this into another political football....but if history is any guide, it will be fun to see how it turns out when they do attempt to make an issue out of it since Ms. Pelosi's comrades have settled on their "referendum on Iraq" strategy for taking over the House & Senate. This could be a convenient pothole for them to stumble into, or another blunder in a myriad of collosal blunders that they have made in the last three years of trying to deceive the electorate into coming around to their way of thinking.

Will we get all of the skeletons out of the closet (with Apolgies to the Foley Camp)...Why, Hell no, we won't! Just more of the same one-note samba from the left. Instead of tending to the Nation's business, the Democrats will keep up the the endless drumbeat of discontent as their search for a flame to throw gasoline upon intensifies.

But by all means, keep it up, Nancy, Boxer, Kerry, Murtha, Kucinich, Clinton, etc. Those of your minions down at the "cracker house" will be none the wiser when you & yours are summarily dispatched and begin your plan to challenge yet another electoral statement on your lunacy.

Durbin....Dick!

Yes, Dick Durbin finally caved and offered his Mea Culpa this evening, to the simultaneous delight and dismay of his spineless cohorts up in D.C. (during the dinner hour, so as to minimize the live facetime during the news cycle.)

Mr. Durbin, as you may know, compared the treatment of terrorist detainees in Guantanamo Bay with the treatment meted out by the Nazis in WWII, Soviets in their Gulags, & Pol Pot's buddies in the Killing Fields during Vietnam.....hoping, obviously, to re-ignite the imaginary righteous indignation of his more widely recognized colleagues on Capitol Hill..and to move the peanut forward in the never ending Bush Bashing carnival that has become the Democratic Party of the 21st Century.

Illinois Senator Durbin, the opposition party's Number Two,(draw your own conclusions), recoginized after a week of his half-hearted explanations of what he meant by his comments....(and it's possible that he thought he might get to occupy the rare air of those higher on the socio-political foodchain, like KKK Kleagle Bob Byrd or even Ted "Gin Blossoms" Kennedy) caved like a house of cards, as he should have, when held to account for his reckless, and borderline treasonous indictments of our military personnel a week ago.

Even Chicago Mayor Dick Dailey (again, draw your own conclusions) joined the chorus of those admonishing Durbin for his loose lipped cacophony of hatred of anything regarding forward motion, decision making, balls, or just plain common sense regarding our side's (Read: AMERICA) actions in the war on Terrorism.

How about doing the right thing Dick?

Did your father, uncle, or brother serve in a foreign conflict? They'd be happy to remind you that any time, any place, war is an extremely dirty business....and not subject to the parameters of parliamentary procedure, or some vague interpretation of what you & your colleagues loosely refer to as "international law".

OK, did anyone you know serve in a war overseas where the greater good took precedent of over the obvious desire to keep things together without having to launch an RPG or a 40mm Howitzer?

Do you feel the same way about our courageous grandfathers, uncles and nameless heroes that stormed the beach at Normandy, or continue to stand on the wall in Seoul, Heidelberg, or Croatia in the name of decency and security for all races, colors, creeds, and religions?

How about this, Dick....have you ever considered that you are blessed...(yes blessed...by God...GOD....our Creator...or is that another alien mindset for you) to live in a country that enjoys the freedoms you & Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden and Presidential wannabe John Kerry take for granted, to understand that it took better men than you to make these hard decisions? Or that it may require intestinal fortitude that you'll never understand to take the longview and risk pissing off the our supposed socialist "allies" (ne: French, Canadian, & even German), in order to end the oppression...to end the murdering....and to contain the insanity of the terrorist threat in a place where your children may not have to witness the systematic dismemberment of common decency..let alone the bodies of those courageous people who dare to call a spade a spade.

Maybe you're banking that this will just be an unpleasant memory when the time comes to fly around on the taxpayer nickel come campaign season, collecting accolades for your imaginary service and your half baked idealistic bent.

I'll go ahead and lay odds that you & your cronies will be swilling your Bollinger and Lagavulin when Schroeder, Chirac..and old What's His Name in Ottawa get their walking papers as their adoring electorates send them packing on election day. By the way...maybe you can use that experience to tighten up on your verbage for your own concession speech when your number comes up in the next election cycle.

And while you & your friends will likely hope that your metaphoric trip to the media woodshed will be forgotten by the mid-terms of 2006....I can assure you Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois....

It will not.

The Nation, a left wing political publication, has widely been regarded as a bellwether Liberal talking points rag among the U.S. intelligentsia, in addition to being useful & practical for fish wrapping or lining your child's birdcage. David Corn, editor of The Nation, checks on the Kerry presidential loss with this bit of twaddle from his website at www.davidcorn.com.

Reading this nonsense irritated me at first, but then the greater irony of the situation became obvious, having been subjected to the disingenuous promises of Kerry & Edwards to "reunite" the "Two Americas" for the past few months.

David, so sorry to see that you & your pointy headed friends will continue to celebrate the great divide in our nation...but here's something you need to pay close attention to....

Kerry has one chance...and only one...to exhibit a modicum of statesmanship during his concession later today..by expressing precisely the opposite of your diatribe when he addresses his followers and the American public.

We can continue living in a society with abject hatred of Bush, with would-be intellectuals like yourself fanning the flames of discontent, or we can take a deep breath and consider Kerry's two options:

Option 1: Kerry will appeal to all Americans to heal the rift, get behind Bush, move forward together as ONE nation...and enjoy prosperity and security moving forward..as Americans first. If Kerry correctly chooses this option, then he will not only live to fight another day, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we could see him run again and (gasp..) possibly even win at some future date.(unlikely, but I'm trying my darndest to be benevolent).

Option II: Kerry will "pull an Al Gore" and self immolate, reducing himself into a parody of his once dignified persona...and Searing..SEARING the memory of this ordeal to the American conciousness.

So stop crying in your cornflakes...(no pun intended), you pathetic, small minded little man.

One of the most interesting items of note in the 2004 Election Year comes with the endorsement of Massachusetts Senator John Kerry by one of my former musical heroes, Bruce Springsteen. In addition to yesterday's Madison, Wisconsin lovefest, Bruce just completed a 33 city Rock Tour with other fading musical luminaries like the Dixie Chicks and John Mellencamp, titled “The Vote For Change Tour”.

The purpose of this tour was to encourage the election of John Kerry in the upcoming Presidential Election on November 2nd. Springsteen, for decades the favorite of music fans across the political, economic and sociological spectrum, also a self described “ non-partisan” explained that it was time to use some of the “capital” accrued during his years of making great records and influencing generations of music lovers to affect a change in U.S. policies domestically and abroad, etc. etc.

It should be noted, however that all proceeds from the tour went into the coffers of MoveOn PAC (the rabidly left wing 527 group financed in part by George Soros) to benefit America Coming Together (ACT), another group embroiled in controversy, most notably voter registration fraud activities (registering Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy, Scooby Doo and the like) from sea to shining sea.

This past week, Kerry picked up another Celebrity Endorsement: Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat! According to press snippets on this blockbuster announcement, Yasser’s Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath said the future of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process is unsure if George W. Bush is re-elected to office and that "During an American election and the three months after, allies of the United States should do more work than they would do otherwise”.

Curious bedfellows, yes, but you may be thinking “What in the hell does one have to do with the other?” Because while it appears that while both Bruce & Yasser are saying “We wholeheartedly endorse Senator Kerry, not because he has any substance, but because we know he will adopt pacifist policies in the Middle East, which we can trumpet across the airwaves, pop culture press and Al-Jazeera as a win & proof of Bush’s failed policy initiatives”, it really should be noted that one of these two men actually loves the USA, was Born in the USA, and is red white and blue as it gets, would probably take the trash out for your mother, while the other is a murdering thug, with the blood of thousands of innocent men, women & children under his fingernails, not to mention a proxy for every other ragtag band of killers in the Middle East and beyond bent on the destruction of our way of life.

Why would either man jump into the fray in a landscape so fraught with danger, when both have potentially so much capital (fiscal & political) to lose? Perhaps because Bruce, from the historically Democratic leaning Garden State of New Jersey, and because he is of hearty blue-collar-salt-of–the-earth-FDR-Great-Society Democratic lineage, can afford to…..and still not completely alienate the other 50 or so percent of Americans who will just let his liberalism slide and tap their feet in anticipation for the next Bruce record. It seems just another empty celebrity endorsement, although I wouldn’t characterize the deeply introspective Springsteen as a left wing bubblehead in the order of, say, Ben Affleck or Leo DeCaprio.

Unfortunately for Bruce, the less than explicit endorsement of Arafat for a change of leadership in the White House creates a curious juxtaposition when the two men’s motives are compared, and this puts the Boss in dubious company when examined at face value.

For Arafat, I guess he feels that he can’t sink into the excrement any deeper than he’s in it already with Sharon & Co, and that the smokescreen of a change in U.S. leadership could buy him a photo opp or two prior to his eventual demise. Arafat’s agenda is obvious. A change of administration would put the Palestinian Authority leader back in good stead with the lefties in Washington and the U.N. , take the heat off of his endorsement of the intifada and the murderous actions of Hamas & the Islamic Jihad, and might even get him back on the state dinner invitation list under a Kerry Administration. After all, Former President Clinton, and even the Kerry campaign’s venerable Jesse Jackson have wholeheartedly approached relations with Chairman Arafat with an open arms policy, in order to play both sides of the fence in their ongoing campaign for a Nobel Peace prize and post ‘90’s political relevance. (Arafat visited the White House during the Clinton years a record 24 times.) On a serious note, the shameful pandering to Arafat by Jackson, Clinton, or anyone else is a cynical slap at the plight of Israel, who really knows what it means to be on “Orange Alert” 24/7, 365 days a year. Bus Rides, anyone?

Bruce, on the one hand, is the archetypical Working Class Hero, with true blue American roots, a product of 60’s rock & roll garage band sweat equity, fully realizing the American Dream while carefully stewarding his well deserved adulation and place in music history with humiliation and good humor. On the other hand, there is really no reason for Bruce to be buying into the old liberal claptrap of fear politics, the litany of ani-war hysteria and outright fabrications of the left with respect to suppression of voter rights, federal funding for stem cell research, current economic viability, environment, et.al

Bruce spends a lot of time here in Wellington, FL, (The Polo Capital of the World) in Palm Beach County, Florida, where I reside, and is surrounded by the trappings of the good life which he has earned and rightly deserves to enjoy. You see, Bruce can afford to get the facts, or at least pay someone to get them for him…or maybe even take the time to discuss the issues with your Humble Author, for purposes of cogent clarification.

Here it is, in a nutshell:

Bush wants to take the fight to the terrorists in their own backyard, protect American citizens first, take the head off of the snake, focus on the endgame, critics be damned. Like it or not, our country was brutally attacked on 9/11/01, and the hand-wringing and game playing with despotic and tyrannical regimes has to end…and now. They, including the recently defrocked Mr. Hussein, are either with us, or against us. He chose, he lost, and now he’s in the pokey…and yes, Mr. Kerry, it was the right war, right time, and right regime to topple for a myriad of reasons, many of which you recounted in your April addresses post-nomination…you duplicitous opportunistic twit! I wonder if you have a poster of Neville Chamberlain on the wall of your bedroom, right above your lava lamp, you phony!

Bush prefers to hold the family of Mr. Springsteen (And Michael Moore, and John Kerry, for that matter) in the highest regards with respect to their God given rights to pursue their chosen path, make their millions, entertain the masses, windsurf till they drop, get manicures, pick their noses, and to pay their fair share of taxes.

Bush wants his final campaign in public life to result in an opportunity for the USA to finish the job it began by planting the seeds of democracy and freedom in historically oppressed regions of the world, (where no one gets to rock their way to the top of the pops and the collective conscience, or fly around in Jet Planes from Gaza when not being held under house arrest).

Mr. Kerry has no such agenda, no such plan for America…only a selfish single minded desire to be President borne of a sense of entitlement. I ‘d like to rationalize that that Mr. Springsteen doesn’t really support Kerry, (along with most misguided Democrats), but has simply joined the “Anybody but Bush” crowd. Maybe that’s the case, maybe not. But instead of voting Green, Libertarian, Socialist, Communist, he’s joined the fray of those seeking an “electable” opponent. (Note: the red-faced rantings of Howard Dean or the Corvair hating Ralph Nader)

Note to Yasser…you & your ilk don’t get a vote in this Election, so keep your trap shut or we’ll be happy to feed you a sand dune or two if you step out of line, you bearded peckerhead!

As for the Boss, you gotta love the guy for trying..after all, it’s part of the job of a rock star to talk about peace, love & understanding…and I’ll bet that his next album goes platinum anyway, although I’ll just wait until it appears with the rest of his friends on the Vote for Change tour…in the cutout bin.
